Our Curriculum
What We Study
- Accredited educational curricula taught using modern methods by highly qualified teachers who have been tested and prepared to ensure the highest level of expertise. We employ all the modern and advanced educational tools to help students grasp the curriculum in a smooth and simplified manner.
Our International Education System: We offer an educational program with curricula and accreditation from the American organization Cognia. This system grants students an internationally recognized certificate. In the International Education Department, all subjects are taught in English (Macmillan, Common Core and Pearson Edexcel), in addition to Arabic, Islamic Studies, and French.
Early Childhood
International Kids Academy Early Childhood Education programs are created for children 3-6 years old, encompassing our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes.
In our hectic, modern lifestyle, it is not always possible to stay home with young children. In our Early Childhood Programs, we provide a home-like environment in which to play and participate. Activities in the Early Childhood classrooms mirror those activities one may participate in at home: room care, food preparation, and preparing for holidays and seasonal festivities.
We believe children's work is play, and play is important work. A hallmark of International Kids Academy Early Childhood Education is that all of the academic skills the children learn are embedded in their experiential curriculum: building rich vocabulary in Circle Time, counting for setting the snack table, observing the changes in seasons, and categorizing objects during tidy-up time.
In our Early Childhood Programs, children are wrapped in a comfortable, secure routine. This gives them great confidence to explore their surroundings and immerse themselves in their childhood state of being while under the close watch of their teachers. Knowing the ways young children absorb their world, primarily through their senses, our teachers mindfully and intentionally provide an environment which is worthy of their absorption and imitation.
Primary School
International Kids Academy Elementary School program (Grades 1-6) fosters well-rounded development through arts-integrated learning, nurturing curiosity and critical thinking. Extended Care programs are also offered for Elementary-age students.
The International Kids Academy Educational philosophy is uniquely responsive to each unique phase of a child's development. The relationship between student and teacher is an important and meaningful one throughout childhood and early adolescence. At International Kids Academy School, from first to sixth grade, our students experience with different teachers, learning with their teachers each year. As a result, their class becomes rich with knowledge presented by each teacher.
Students who begin first grade at International Kids Academy School experience new subjects. These include common core curriculum taught by their teachers as well as French, Religion, Handwork, Arabic, and Music.
Preparatory & High School
International Kids Academy Middle School (Grades 7-12) offers interdisciplinary studies, focusing on hands-on experiences and independent thinking for pre-adolescents.
